Budapest and Bangkok Airports Operating Normally

December 21, 2008 -- Officials at Budapest's Ferihegy Airport (BUD) said today that flights were going ahead according to schedule, despite a strike by ground and security staff that is approaching its second week. The airport's public relations director told the media this morning that the airport will not cancel any flights on Monday due to the strike, and passengers should not expect any significant delays.

Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK) has returned to normal operations following a takeover by anti-government protesters that kept it shut down for nine days earlier this month. The airport siege stranded more than 300,000 travelers in Thailand and unknown number trying to fly into Thailand from around the world.
