Budapest Airport Operating Despite Workers' StrikeDecember 11, 2008 -- Two trade unions at Budapest's Ferihegy Airport (BUD) have started an indefinite strike on Wednesday after failing to reach an agreement on a new collective agreement.
Passengers were unable to board most Wednesday morning flights as passenger security controls were not operating. However, most flights resumed by the afternoon.
As of this morning, airport authorities said flights were taking off on schedule from one of the two main terminals.
